For many travellers, cruising is still associated with scale, schedules and shared spaces that feel busy rather than restorative. Yet within the cruise world, there is a growing distinction that mirrors the transformation in hotels and resorts: the difference between luxury and ultra-luxury.
Luxury cruising often prioritises more variety, more activity and more additions. Ultra-luxury cruising focuses on space, comfort, considered inclusions and how smoothly the experience unfolds. Seven Seas Prestige, the newest ship from Regent Seven Seas Cruises, has been designed around this latter philosophy, offering a very different way to travel by sea.

Starlight Atrium - Seven Seas Prestige
Scheduled for delivery in late 2026 with debut voyages in the Caribbean, Seven Seas Prestige marks Regent's first new ship class in ten years. Built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri with interior designs by Miami-based Studio DADO, it follows the success of Regent's Explorer-Class vessels. The result is an experience that feels intimate and calm, even while sailing on a modern, full-scale ship.
A Large Ship That Never Feels Busy
The design of Seven Seas Prestige challenges the assumption that larger ships must feel crowded. Although the ship is around 40 percent larger than earlier Regent vessels, it carries only around 10 percent more guests: 822 in total. All this additional space is felt throughout the ship, from wider walkways and generous lounges to dining venues that remain comfortable at any time of day.
For guests, this translates into simple but meaningful differences. Dining does not require planning around peak times. Public areas remain open and relaxed. Service feels personal rather than procedural, supported by the industry's highestcrew-to-guest ratio of approximately one crew member for every 1.3 guests.
Suites Designed for Comfort and Space
Accommodation onboard Seven Seas Prestige sets a new benchmark for ultra-luxury cruising. All 411 suites feature private balconies and are spread across 12 suite categories, including four entirely new designs.
These include the exclusive Skyview Regent Suite, the largest all-inclusive ultra-luxury cruise ship suite ever created, along with three distinctly themed Skyview Suites. All are dual-level with private terrace decks and accessed via in-suite elevators. Grand Loft Suites offer expansive living areas with floor-to-ceiling windows, while Horizon Penthouse Suites are designed for guests who value generous balcony space and seamless indoor-outdoor living.
Rather than functioning as simple cabins, these suites are designed as places to spend time during the day, whether reading, entertaining or enjoying views as the ship moves between destinations.
Dining and Life Onboard
Seven Seas Prestige offers seven specialty restaurants and 11 dining experiences in total, providing variety without overwhelming choice. New venues include Azure, a Mediterranean mezze-style dining concept that complements Regent's existing culinary offerings. Additional lounges and bars, such as Galileo's Bar, invite connection, whether meeting friends for a drink or enjoying a quiet moment with barista-made coffee.
Beyond dining, life onboard Seven Seas Prestige offers a flexible balance of relaxation and activity. The Solara Sports Deck provides space for outdoor recreation, including a pickleball court and golf facilities, while a fully equipped fitness centre supports guests who enjoy maintaining their routine while travelling. For those seeking rest and restoration, the ship's spa and wellness areas offer a calm environment for treatments, thermal experiences and quiet downtime.
The Constellation Theatre hosts nightly performances, creating a relaxed alternative to large-scale show venues found on mass-market ships. Guests can also participate in classes at the Culinary Arts Kitchen, where immersive cooking experiences connect local flavours and techniques to the destinations being visited.

All-Inclusive Without Complication
Regent Seven Seas Cruises is known for its comprehensive all-inclusive model, and Seven Seas Prestige continues this approach. Fares include gourmet dining across all venues, fine wines and spirits, onboard entertainment, shore experiences, Starlink WiFi access, valet laundry service and pre-paid gratuities. Guests staying in Concierge-level suites and above also receive a one-night pre-cruise hotel stay.
Rather than focusing on what is included, the value lies in what guests do not need to manage during their journey. Once onboard, the experience flows without constant decisions or added charges.
